Rabbi Eric Tokajer was raised in a traditional Jewish home. After his Bar Mitzvah, he began to study the Hebrew Scriptures more closely, which brought many questions to his mind. Questions such as: If a sacrifice had to be made once a year on Yom Kippur to cover the sins of Israel from year to year, how were those sins covered now? When the rabbis were unable to answer his questions, he became agnostic.
While serving in the US Navy, Rabbi Eric was challenged by a believer in Yeshua to study the Scriptures until he found the answers within them. While searching the Hebrew Scripture, Rabbi Eric found Yeshua as the promised Messiah of Israel. His studies brought clear answers to all of the questions that he had.
Over thirty years have passed. Rabbi Eric is now an ordained Rabbi in the IAMCS (International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues) and has served as a Rabbi in Mobile, Alabama, and now in Pensacola, Florida. He has helped to establish six congregations across the Gulf Coast (Slidell, Louisiana; Pascagoula, Mississippi; Foley, Alabama; Spanish Fort, Alabama; Navarre, Florida; Pensacola, Florida).
Rabbi Eric has been married for 34 years to his wife Pammy, and they have two children, David and Andrew. David serves as Rabbi at Congregation Mayim Chayim in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Rabbi David and his wife Rebbetzin Danielle have two children, Elyana and Natanel. Andrew, his wife Melissa, and their daughter AnnaBella attend Brit Ahm Messianic Synagogue. Both Rabbi Eric's sons are married to the daughters of Rabbi Paul and Rebbetzin Sally Collins of Mobile, Alabama.
